Editable Template Troubleshooting Tips

Having trouble?

Please read these troubleshooting tips for help with your editable templates.

  • Need Computer: After you purchase, download/save the zip folder to your COMPUTER.  My files will only work on computers, not on phones/tablets.
  • Unzip Your Files: Unzip the zip folder to extract all files.
  • Adobe Reader: Open the editable file in Adobe Reader. It won't work in other PDF programs so make sure it opened in Adobe Reader.  To make sure, open Adobe Reader first, and then go to File > Open and choose your file from where you saved it on your computer.
  • Text at the Top: If your text is at the top of the text box when you open the file, that probably means you opened the file in something other than Adobe Reader.  Check to see what program the file opened in.  It will only work in Adobe Reader. If that's not the problem, download the file again in case something happened to it during the download process the first time.  Make sure the file has fully downloaded before trying to unzip the folder or open any files.
  • Can't Edit: This might happen if you are trying to edit your file on a phone or tablet.  My files will only work on computers.  Also make sure the file opened in Adobe Reader (full version; not an app) and not some other program.  Make sure you unzipped the file first.  You can also download the file again in case something happened to it during the download process the first time.  Make sure the file has fully downloaded before trying to unzip the folder or open any files.
  • Beep Sound: If you hear a beep, your text is too big. Make the text size smaller first and then change the words. You can make the words bigger once you type your new message.
  • Can't Highlight: If it seems like you can't highlight the word(s), you might need to put your mouse slightly above the word. (This might happen with some graduation printables that have sample text and extra formatting.)
  • Try Again: you can download the files again and start over if something doesn't seem to be working right. Or click "undo" and backtrack a couple steps.
